Barnsley Carers Service

BACKGROUND

Barnsley Carers Service offers free support, advice, and training to unpaid carers aged 18 and over. They collaborate with health and care services, Barnsley Council, charities, and community groups to enhance carers’ quality of life and wellbeing.

We partnered with a third-party agency that handled all the design, UI, and UX aspects. Ensuring accessibility standards was crucial throughout the project, so we incorporated easy-to-read font sizes, correct ARIA tags, and strong contrast ratios to meet WCAG standards.

We developed a custom-built theme for the client, enabling them to manage all the text, imagery, and future layout updates independently, without worrying about the site breaking.
